英语小短文第 19 课：Part-time Job 兼职工作

“When I was a student I was broke, so I took a part-time job to help support myself. 我读书的时候真是穷得叮当响，因此我做一份兼职工作赚钱养活自己。

I needed something that wouldn't interfere with my class schedule. 我需要一份不与我的课程安排相冲突的工作。

I found a job at the local supermarket working twenty hours a week in the evenings. 在当地的超市我找到了一份工作，每个星期在晚上干20个小时。

Mostly I took inventory and stocked the shelves. 工作主要是编列存货清单，填充货架。

The work itself wasn't so interesting and it was hard for me to find the time to study. 工作本身不太有趣，而且自己也挤不出时间来学习。

It was good for me though; I got some practical working experience and I learned a lot about how to manage my time. 但还是有好处的，我获得了一些实际的工作经验。而且还学会了更好地分配自己的时间。

And plus, money. I mean, hey, who can complain about that?” 而且，我还能赚钱。我的意思是，我可没有什么抱怨的。
