I have a friend who has a large police dog called Jack. 我有个朋友，他有只叫做杰克的大警犬。

Police dogs are often very intelligent. 警犬一般都很聪明。

Every Sunday afternoon my friend takes Jack for a long walk in the park. 每个周日下午，我的朋友都要带杰克到公园里遛很长的路。

Jack likes these long walks in the park very much. 杰克非常喜欢公园里这种长距离的散步。

One Sunday afternoon a young man came to visit my friend. 一个周日下午，有个年轻人去拜访我的朋友。

He stayed a long time. He talked and talked. 他呆了很长时间，聊了又聊。

Soon it was time for my friend to take Jack for his walk. 很快，我的朋友带杰克遛弯的时间到了。

But the visitor still stayed. 但客人还不走。

Jack became very worried about his walk in the park. 杰克很担心公园散步不能成行。

He walked around the room several times and then sat down directly in front of the visitor and looked at him. 它围着房间转了好几圈，然后径直坐在客人的面前看着他。

But the visitor paid no attention. He continued talking. 但是客人没有注意到。他继续喋喋不休地说个不停。

Finally Jack could stand it no longer. He went out of the room and came back a few minutes later. 最后，杰克再也无法忍受了。它跑出房间，几分钟后又跑了回来。

He sat down again in front of the visitor but this time he held the visitor's
hat in his mouth. 它又在客人面前坐了下来，不过这次它嘴里叼着客人的帽子。
