There are a number of public holidays when most people can expect to have three or four days off work. 英 国 有 好 多 公 共 假 日， 每 次 总 能 三 四 天 不 用 上 班。

These are mostly centred around the Christian calendar, for example around Christmas Day (December 25th) and Easter (which usually occurs in April). 这 些 假 日 一 般 都 和 宗 教 有 关， 象 圣 诞 节 （12 月 25 日）、 复 活 节 （通 常 在 4 月） 之 类。

Cars are the most popular form of transport but the public transportation system of bus, coach, rail or air offers a wide choice of routes and networks to any destination. 轿 车 最 为 普 遍， 但 公 路， 铁 路 及 航 空 系 统 共 成 网 络、 四 通 八 达 也 比 较 便 利。
