Jun: What? What will they do? Pray for me?
Jeff: Maybe. Or maybe worse. And they better not catch you with me, either. The worst part of hell is reserved for ex-Mormons like me.
Jun: Oh, you used to be a Mormon! Did you used to wear suits and ride bikes around in foreign countries, then?
Jeff: Yes, I did that. And I was even engaged to a nice Mormon girl when I was twenty-two. But then things started going kind of crazy where I lived.
Jun: What? Did everyone start wearing suits and riding bicycles?
Jeff: No, actually there was a local uprising. I was in a remote desert town, with very old-school Mormons. Some were polygamists. One of them wanted my fiancee.
Jun: What? That's allowed?
Jeff: Kind of. Back in 19th century pioneer days, Mormons were told they would go to heaven if they were polygamous. Joseph Smith, the founder of the Church, had over forty wives.
Jun: No wonder there are so many Mormons! I had no idea.
