I must live in a great stone castle. Go to the carp, and ask him to give us a castle." 我 要 住 在 一 座 大 的 石 头 城 堡 里。 到 鲤 鱼 那 里 去， 请 他 给 我 们 一 座 城 堡。”

"Ah, wife," said the man, "this cottage is quite good enough; what should we want to live in a castle for?" “啊， 妻 子，”渔 夫 说 ， “这 村 舍 就 够 好 的 了， 我 们 为 什 么 要 住 在 城 堡 里 呢 ？”

"Just you go," cried the woman; "he can do it, and he'll do it willingly; just you go." “你 就 去 吧 ，” 那 个 女 人 大 声 说 ， “他 会 办 的， 他 会 心 甘 情 愿 地 做 的，你 就 去 吧。”

The man's heart was heavy, and he objected to going; he kept whispering to himself, "It's not right"; but he went nevertheless. 渔 夫 心 情 沉 重， 他 不 想 去 ， 一 再 轻 轻 地 自 言 自 语： “这 是 不 对 的。” 然 而 他 还 是 去 了。

When he came to the seashore the water was dark blue and violet in color, and gray and thick, and no longer green and yellow; but it was still calm. 他 到 达 海 边 时， 海 水 呈 深 蓝 色 和 紫 色 ， 阴 暗 而 浑 浊， 不 再 是 绿 色 和 黄 色 的 ， 但 海 面 依 然 平 静。

"Well, what does she want?" said the carp. "Oh," said the man, half-frightened , "she wants to live in a stone castle." “嗯， 那 她 要 些 什 么 呢？” 鲤 鱼 问 。 “ 噢 ，” 渔 夫 胆 怯 地 说 ： “ 她 想 住 在 一 座 石 头 城 堡 里 。”

"Go home," said the carp; "she's standing before the door now." So the man went away, thinking to go home. “回 家 去 吧，” 鲤 鱼 说，“现 在 她 正 站 在 门 口 呢!” 渔 夫 走 了， 打 算 回 家 去 。

But when he came there he saw a great stone palace, and his wife stood on the steps, about to go in; and she took him by the hand and said, "Do you come in with me." 但 他 来 到 那 里 的 时 候 ， 却 看 见 一 座 宏 伟 的 石 头 宫 殿， 他 的 妻 子 站 在 台 阶 上， 正 要 进 去 。 她 拉 着 他 的 手 说： “和 我 一 同 进 去 吧。”

The next morning the wife awoke first. It was just day, and from her bed she could see the glorious country lying stretched out before her. 第 二 天 早 晨， 妻 子 先 醒 了。 天 刚 亮， 她 从 床 上 可 以 望 见 展 现 在 她 面 前 的 壮 丽 的 国 土。
