"No, indeed," he answered. "I have such marvelously sharp sight that I am obliged to keep the bandage on; otherwise everything I looked at would dash to bits. If such a gift is of any service to you, take me with you." “ 不 ， 真 的 ，” 他 回 答 说， “我 有 极 厉 害 的 目 光，不 得 不 绑 上 绷 带， 否 则， 我 一 看 什 么 东 西， 就 会 把 它 撞 成 碎 片 。 如 果 这 样 的 才 能 对 你 有 所 帮 助 ， 就 带 上 我 吧。”

"Come along," said the Prince. "You may be useful."“一 起 走 吧，” 王 子 说， “你 会 有 用 的。”

Then they went on and came to a man with such a long neck that he was standing peering round him over all the mountains.他 们 继 续 走 着 ， 又 碰 到 一 个 人，这 个 人 的 脖 子 很 长， 站 在 那 眺 望 周 围 的 群 山。

"What are you looking at so intently?" asked the Prince.“你 这 么 专 心 地 看 些 什 么 呢？” 王 子 问。

"I have such bright, keen eyes," he replied, "that I can see over woods and fields, mountains and valleys, to the very end of the world." “我 的 眼 睛 明 亮、敏 锐，”那 个 人 回 答 说，“我 能 够 越 过 森 林、田 野、高 山、峡 谷， 一 直 看 到 天 边。”

The Prince then said, "Come with me. It would not do to pass by such a curiosity."王 子 说： “和 我 一 起 走 吧 ， 这 样 的 奇 人 不 能 放 过。”

Soon the prince with his five extraordinary servants arrived in the town where the old Queen lived. 不 久 ， 王 子 就 和 五 个 古 怪 的 佣 人 到 达 老 王 后 住 的 城 市 ，

Without saying who he was , he told the Queen that if she gave him her lovely daughter he would fulfill any task she might impose on him. 他 没 说 自 己 是 什 么 人，只 对 王 后 说，如 果 王 后 把 可 爱 的 女 儿 嫁 给 他 ， 他 就 会 去 完 成 王 后 交 给 他 的 任 何 任 务 。

The sorceress was delighted at another fine and gallant youth falling into her snare , and said, "I will make a threefold condition; fulfill it , and you shall be my daughter's husband."又 一 个 漂 亮 勇 敢 的 年 轻 人 落 入 圈 套， 女 巫 很 高 兴， 她 说： “我 的 条 件 分 三 部 分，你 做 成 了，就 是 我 女 儿 的 丈 夫。”

"What is the first part?" asked the Prince. “第 一 部 分 是 什 么？” 王 子 问。
