Then they saw a beautiful snow-white bird sitting on a branch, and it was singing so beautifully that they stopped to listen. 后 来， 他 们 看 见 一 只 美 丽 的、 雪 白 的 小 鸟 落 在 树 枝 上， 唱 得 很 动 听。 他 们 停 下 来 听 着。

Hansel and Gretel shook in their shoes for fright, letting the good stuff fall from their hands. 汉 塞 尔 和 格 雷 特 尔 吓 得 浑 身 发 抖， 好 吃 的 东 西 也 从 他 们 的 手 里 掉 下 来 了。

When once she had them safe in her power, she slaughtered, cooked, and ate them. 一 旦 孩 子 们 牢 牢 地 落 到 她 手 里， 她 就 把 他 们 杀 死， 烧 熟 了 吃 掉。
