He ran on alone into the wood, looking to right and left as he went. In a little while he espied the two giants.他 独 自 跑 入 其 中，一 边 跑 一 边 向 左 右 观 望。一 会 儿 就 看 见 了 那 两 个 巨 人。

They lay under a tree asleep, nearly snoring off the branches overhead. 他 们 躺 在 树 下 睡 觉 的 时 候 鼾 声 几 乎 把 头 顶 上 的 树 枝 都 要 震 下 来。

The little tailor climbed up the tree. Halfway up he slid on to a branch immediately over the sleepers' heads, and then let his stones fall on one of the giants' breasts. 小 裁 缝 忙 着 捡 石 头， 塞 满 自 己 的 口 袋 后， 就 往 树 上 爬 去 。 爬 到 一 半 儿， 又 溜 到 一 根 在 睡 着 的 巨 人 脑 袋 上 方 的 树 枝 上， 一 连 把 几 块 石 头 扔 在 一 个 巨 人 的 胸 脯 上 。

For a long time the giant did not move, but at last he roused himself and, shoving his companion, asked, "Why are you hitting me? this is too annoying," shouted the giant. 过 了 很 久， 巨 人 不 动。 最 后 他 惊 醒 了 ， 推 推 他 的 同 伙 问 道： “ 你 干 吗 打 我？” “ 这 太 气 人 了，” 这 个 巨 人 喊 道 。

At once the little tailor jumped off the tree. "A piece of good fortune," he said, "that they didn't tear up the tree I was sitting on." 小 裁 缝 立 刻 从 树 上 跳 下 来， 他 说： “好 运 气 ， 幸 而 他 们 没 有 拔 我 待 在 上 面 的 那 棵 树。”

He drew his sword and inflicted a wound on the breast of both, then he went to the knights and said: "The work is done; I have put an end to the two giants, but it was a terrible encounter.
