芝华士英语口语第 33 课: At a Grocery Store在杂货店

Sarah : Anybody here? 有人在吗?

Shop-keeper : Coming, I'm coming....Hi, Sarah. What do you want today? 来啦!来啦!……嗨，莎拉，你今天要买些什么?

Sarah : Quite a lot. I need one pound of potatoes, three pints of milk, a dozen brown eggs, two pounds of corn, one pint of olive oil, one pound of cucumber, half a pound of mushroom, and one pound of tomatoes. 挺多的。我要一磅马铃薯，三品脱牛奶、一打黄鸡蛋、两磅玉米、一品脱橄榄油、一磅小黄瓜、半磅蘑菇，以及一磅蕃茄。

Shop- keeper : Do you need any fruit? Our fruit is very fresh today. 你要不要水果?今天的水果很新鲜。

Sarah : How do you sell the lemons? 柠檬怎么卖?

Shop- keeper : Lemons are three for ten cents. 三个十分钱。

Sarah : Are they juicy? I want to use them for juice. 汁多下多?我要用来榨果汁的。　　

Shop-keeper : They are ripe and juicy, so are the watermelon. 又熟汁又多，西瓜也是。

Sarah : No, I don't want watermelons. They're not in season yet. Just give me a dozen lemons. 我不要西瓜。现在还不到西瓜(上市)的季节。你只要给我一打柠檬就好了。

Shop- keeper : Very well. Anything else? 好的。还需要其他的吗?

Sarah : I also need a loaf of sliced bread and a pound of coffee. 我还要一条面包，要切片的，还有一磅咖啡。

Shop- keeper : What kind of coffee? Drip or instant? 那一种咖啡? 滴泡的还是即溶的?

Sarah : Give me the coarser grind. We make coffee in a percolator at home. 给我粗颗粒的。我们在家都用有过虑器的咖啡壶煮咖啡。

Shop- keeper : All right. 好的。

Sarah : And a bottle of catsup. Any brand will do....Can you send this order to my house this afternoon? 还要一瓶蕃茄酱。任何牌子都可以。……你能不能把这些东西下午送到我家去?

Shop- keeper : Certainly! 当然可以。

Sarah : Thanks. How much will that be? I'll give you a cheque now. 谢谢。一共是多少钱?我现在开张支票给你。
