Mr. Rich: Excuse me. My wife and I would like to look around this place, if possible. Who should we talk to? 对不起。如果可能的话，我太太和我想参观一下这儿。我们该和谁谈？

Mrs.Newman: I'm the principal here. They call me Mrs. Newman. 我是这儿的院长。他们都叫我纽曼太太。

Mr. Rich : How do you do, Mrs.Newman. PaulRich. This is my wife. 你好，纽曼太太。我是保罗·瑞奇。这是我太太。

Mrs. Newman: How do you do, Mr.Rich...and Mrs.Rich I'11 be very glad to show you around. This way, please. As you can see, this is the playground. 你好，瑞奇先生……瑞奇太太。我很乐意带你四处看看。请这边走。你看到的，这是操场。

Mrs.Rich : What a beautiful garden. 好漂亮的花园。

Mrs.Newman: I personally don't think it's a good idea to keep a child, no matter what age, indoors all day long. Letting the children get close to nature is the best way to take care of them and satisfy their curiosity. 我个人认为，不论是那个年纪的小孩子，整天让他们待在室内是不好的。让小孩子接近自然，是照顾他们，以及满足他们的好奇心的最佳方法。

Mrs.Newman: That you don't have to worry about. Besides the teachers, we have two assistants in each class to keep an eye on the children....This is a bedroom. We insist on a one-hour nap after lunch. 这点你不用担心。除了老师以外，每一班我们都有两位助理在看护小孩子们。这里是卧室。我们坚持午餐后要午睡一小时。

Mrs.Rich : It looks very clean, neat, and comfortable. 看来非常干净、整齐，而且舒适。　

Mrs.Newman: It sure is. How old is your child, by the way? 没错。对了，你们的小孩多大？

Mis.Rich : He is only two years and eight months old. My husband and I both need to work, and we need somebody to take care of him. 他只有两岁零八个月。我先生和我都得上班，我们需要人照顾他。

Mrs.Newman: As for children at his age, we have a babysitter to take care of two at one time. In that way, they can both be well looked after and have playmates You can send him here every morning before you go to work and pick him up after work. 像他这种年龄的小孩，我们有专门的保姆带，一个保姆带两个小孩。这么一来，他们既可以得到妥善的照顾，又有玩伴。你们可以在每天早上上班前把他送来，下班后再来接他。

Mr. Rich : Could you show us some more? 你能否带我们看看其他地方？

Mrs.Newman: No problem..... 没问题。
