During the ninth-century Tang dynasty, 第9世纪唐朝统治期间
a different class of celadon appeared 诞生了另一种青瓷
which attained new importance for ceramics: 使陶瓷更加身价非凡
the legendary 'secret celadon'. 那就是饶富传奇色彩的秘色瓷

Only the emperors of the Tang dynasty knew the recipe for its manufacture, 只有唐代皇帝 知道秘色瓷的制作方法
and the last Tang emperor took the secret with him to his grave. 最后一任皇帝 则将这个秘密带进坟墓

For a thousand years nobody knew 千年来没有人知道
whether this secret celadon really existed 秘色瓷是否真有其事

Until in 1981 an earthquake caused a partial collapse of this ancient pagoda. 直到1981年 地震使这座古佛塔半毁
