C: You're the downstairs neighbor--Gill, right? How's it going? 你是住楼下的——吉尔，对吧？你好吗？
A: Could be better. Would you mind keeping it down? 可以更好的。能不能请你小声一点？
C: I'm sorry. We're working as fast as we can to get it done. 我很抱歉。我们正在努力尽快搞定。
A: We can't get any shuteye down there. And Sunday is our only day to sleep in. 我们在楼下都不能睡觉。而且星期天是我们唯一可以睡晚一点的日子。
C: All right. I'll start later, at ten, OK? 好吧。我晚点再开始，十点，可以吗？
A: Actually, I don't think it's appropriate to make noise like that on a Sunday. 说实在的，在星期天制造那种噪音，我并不认为是恰当的。
C: I can't do it any other day. I'll be done soon. Don't worry. 我没办法在其它日子施工。我很快就好了。别担心。
A: Maybe you should have someone do it for you. 或许你该找人帮你施工。

A: I know, but the noise pollution is becoming unbearable. And we've kept quiet about your washing clothes at all hours of the night. 我知道，可是这噪音污染越来越难以忍受。而且，对于你们整晚都在洗衣服的事，我们也都没吭声。
C: You'll have to take that up with my wife. 那件事你得跟我老婆讨论。
A: If you can't keep the noise down, I'm going to have to take action! 如果你不降低噪音，我就要采取法律行动了！
C: You can't sue someone for renovating their house! 你怎么可以因为人家装修房子，就告上法院！
