Nikki: OK. Do you want a trim, or do you want to get your hair done? 那你要修头发，还是要做造型呢？

Wen: [Pointing to a customer] Can I get my hair done like his? His girlfriend has the same hair, and she's white. （指着一位客人）我可以弄得像他一样吗？他的女朋友也是同样的发型，而且她是白人。

Nikki: Like that Rastafarian over there? You mean dreadlocks? You crazy! That'll take way too long. 像那个拉斯塔教崇拜者？你是说雷鬼烫？你疯啦！那要花好多时间。

Wen: What kind of style are you getting done? Can we match? 那你要弄什么样的发型？我们可不可以搭配一下？

Nikki: I'm gonna get a relaxer, then flip the ends up like Halle. 我要抹些顺发剂，然后将发尾弄翘，像荷莉贝瑞一样。

Wen: Can I get a relaxer, too? And why did you say, “You crazy” instead of “You ou're crazy”? 我也可以抹些顺发剂吗？还有为什么你说You crazy，而不是You're crazy？

Nikki: It's faster to drop the “are” in some phrases. Like “you cool”, “you crazy”... 因为在一些句子里，把are省略会比较快。像you cool、you crazy……

Wen: Word. So what are my options here? Can I get a relaxer? 西底。那现在我有什么选择？我可以抹一些顺发剂吗？

Nikki: Wen, relaxers “relax” the curls, so they turn into straight hair. 小雯，顺发剂是要 ‘顺’卷发的，让卷发变直。

Wen: Oh. Ha-ha. Then I was born with a relaxer. Hmm...can I have an Afro? [Nikki shakes her head] How about a perm? 喔。哈哈。那我的头发天生就很顺。嗯……我可不可以弄个麦克风头？（妮琪摇摇头）那将头发烫卷好不好？

Nikki: Boring! How about braids? They won't last long, but they'll last through some booty-shakin'. 没创意！扎个黑人辫如何？这种发型不会持续太久，但可以维持到舞会结束。

Wen: Alright. I'm down. 好啦。没问题！

Nikki:They look great! Hey, are you hungry? I know a good Ethiopian
